Medieval dynasty chickens

Hi guys. I have a question. How to breed chickens? I have bought 2 small chickens. 1 male and 1 female. They grew up now. I can see lot of eggs in my food storehouse because one of my inhabitants is taking care of animals. But I cant see any new little chickens. Why is that: Should I leave those eggs there and not to collect them? Should I give the woman other job and let her the chickens be?.
